Coach Juan Carlos Cruz is a Chicago-Land native that played for the University of St. Francis and finished his career top ten in school history for goals, assists and overall points. Coach Cruz has 20 years of experience coaching boys and girls that range from youth travel to semi-pro. In addition to coaching at FWSC, Coach Cruz currently is the Assistant Men's first team coach at Indiana Tech, Head Coach of the Phoenix FC Men’s Semi-Pro team and Founder/Director of Coaching of Ft. Wayne Phoenix Youth Futsal Club.  He currently serves as a staff coach for the University of Notre Dame Women's Soccer Camp, FC Barcelona Escola (Chicago) Camp, Mike Clark Camp as well as Technical Director for the Catalonia Soccer Camps.

Coach Cruz holds a USSF National C and Youth National License, USYF Level Three National Futsal license and Coaching Certification from the FC Barcelona Escola. Coach Cruz is also the USYF Indiana State Futsal Director, Regional/National staff coach and member of the NSCAA.
